Books, books, books!
We accept all gently used elementary-aged story books. Our volunteers use the GROW BY methodology to categorize the books by reading levels. Any books that are not relevant for the schools and libraries are donated to other organizations.
Here are some examples of the books that we collect:
Green
1 to 2 sentences; < 12 words; pictures.
Red
2 to 5 sentences; pictures.
Orange
6 to 10 sentences; pictures
White
10 to 20 long sentences; small print
Blue
Novels with some pictures
Yellow
Denser sentences; higher vocabulary
Purple
Young adult novels
Black
Award-winner novels
